Membrane roofs that cover a big span on a light frame.
What we do
Tensile structures cover more area for less steel than any other roof, and they look considerably better doing it. We fabricate the mast, arch and cantilever framework, then tension the PVDF or PTFE-coated membrane to the design profile so it stays taut, sheds water and does not flap in the first storm.

Questions
A quality PVDF-coated membrane has a long service life in Chennai conditions, and the frame outlasts it comfortably. When the fabric does reach the end of its life it can be replaced on the existing structure at a fraction of the original cost.
The profile is what does the work — a properly tensioned double-curved surface sheds water and resists wind lift far better than a flat sheet. We design the mast, cable and foundation loads for the span rather than reusing a standard detail.
Usually yes, with base-plate fixings onto pad foundations at the post positions. Only the post locations are broken out, and we reinstate them on completion.
