A pergola is the cheapest way to turn unused outdoor space into somewhere you actually spend time. We fabricate the steel or aluminium frame, then roof it in toughened glass, multiwall or compact polycarbonate, or slatted louvers — sized so it drains properly and does not turn into an oven in April.

Glass looks better, stays cleaner and lasts longer, and it costs more. Polycarbonate is lighter, cheaper, handles impact better and is the sensible pick for large car park spans or anywhere a falling coconut is a real possibility. We quote both so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.

Not if it is specified properly. Heat-reflective or tinted glass, adequate ventilation at the eaves and the right orientation make the difference. We would rather design that in than have you cover it with a shade cloth six months later.

The gutter is built into the pergola frame and taken to a downtake at a corner post, so water does not sheet off the edge onto the floor. On terrace installations we tie into the existing rainwater outlet.
